!!!SOLD!!! 1998 SHO, Cams Welded, 75K Miles, $5400

Hey everyone,

For sale is my 3rd SHO that I've owned over the years. The car is located in Scottsdale, AZ and I just recently started using my car again for my 2 mile commute to work. Other than that my wife and I have a VW Passat that we use for all other purposes.

**I just had my cams welded today by Arnold Arias of Peoria, AZ. I have pictures of the entire job he did. Had new motorcraft plugs put in, new motorcraft cabin air filter put in, and also moved all 4 coils from the rear to the front. He also covered the wires in the back with header wrap as well.

After he called me today to let me know my car was done, he said my engine was the cleanest SHO engine he has ever worked on. Also said my cams never even showed any signs of them slipping at all. Let me know if you would like me to e-mail you any pics of the job he did.**

Just purchased two new front tires. Still needs two new rear tires.

White exterior, tan leather interior. 75K miles on it. Bought the car in 2005 with 54K miles on it you can see in the 4 years I've owned the car I barely drove it.

I don't know what else you guys would like to know about the car so please post any questions or concerns here in this thread or just PM me.

Price of the car is $5400 or best offer.

I know there are other SHO's out for sale on the market asking for more than what I'm asking so I really believe I am being fair here. Thank you for looking.

Just had the cams welded today everyone. Read my original posts since I included many new details. I was asking $5200 without the cams being welded and with them welded I've only raised my asking price by $300. I'm still negotiable so if you aren't interested then please do me the favor of letting other SHO enthusiasts know about my car being for sale.

Still no takers? Is it just bad timing or is no one interested in Gen 3 SHO's anymore? Seems like all the popularity is in the Gen 2 SHO's.

I'm flexibile on the price as well. I know someone out there would love to own this perfectly clean SHO. Both front windows open, sunroof open, Mach system playing your favorite tune, light turns green and you hit the pedal...fast or slow, it's nice and smooth both ways

I don't think members here are used to seeing such a quality example of a clean Gen 3 for sale. I'd buy this SHO in a second if I had the funds available.

Thanks for your comments I appreciate it. I know my asking price may be out of many buyers price range but I really can't go much lower. I have room for negotiation and I would like to get at least $5K so that I can buy another decent car out there for my wife. She doesn't like driving the SHO.

I'm going to put it in Autotrader in hopes of selling it locally.

You are more than welcome to come and look at the car when you get here. I'm not in a hurry as much anymore as I used to be to try and sell my car. I'm still desperate but if I sold it, I'm not financially ready to purchase another vehicle. I would hate to turn away a serious offer if you made one but timing is against me these days. I'll be ready to let it go in about another month or two since if I sold it, I don't have another car to drive at the moment.

Not sure if you can wait but we can discuss further details when you get here if you are still interested by then.

Beautiful car! Been putting back a few hundred a week to save up for one. Up to 3200.00. The waiting is killing me. I just joined this site to get some more leads on possibly finding one.
