I just decided to go around the intake, so i just left it on. There was a small cylinder plastic peiece on the back of the motor with 2 hoses going to it, i just moved that out of the way and it was a little better to get at.

Thanks for the replies everyone. :) Guess ill know in the future to not wash it ever again, just clean it by hand.

Just some food for thought, beware of the underbody washes as well. If the underbody blast is strong enough, it'll blast up to the hood, then drip down into the plug wells, causing this issue all over again.

I know this from experience. Didn't pick up on it the first time, but the 2nd, oh I learned. And yes, the Tampon trick actually works. But, try to imagine walking into Wal-Mart at about 11:30 at night, covered in greasy and dirty clothes, then walking up to a checkout with a box of "super absorbent".

If you ever want an odd look from a cashier, do that.

Well the power washing was probably a factor, but check it out when its dry and make sure its still not doing. My belt started smoking one day and one of my idler pullies and gone bad and the pulley literally FELL off. At the same time my water pump shot shit as well. =] lol Its ok though, luckily I didn't blow a headgasket!
