Sho V8 engine

I am building a hotrod and want to use the SHO V8 engine as I only have space to mount an engine transversely. Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a 1997 taurus SHO V8 that has had the camshaft welding done, if possible I am after a full donor car but if I can not get one then just the engine will do.

Thankyou for the replys, I am using a 2000 Mercury Cougar as my base platform. I will have to look into how much it will cost me to ship one into the UK, I would prefer to have a full car so I can take the looms and ECU but if I can get the engine, engine loom, dash loom and ECU crated that would be just as good. The one thing that worries me is that I have read alot about cam welding, I understand why it is required but alot of what I have read tells of people welding it in situe which to me would be a big no no due to weld splash.

Ideally you wouldn't have much of that if the welds were don with Tungsten electrode and shielding gas instead of a MIG welder.

keep searching this forum regarding the cam welding, and get in touch with Kirk @ NESHO. if you're serious and have the money he'd probably be one of the best options to get you what you need into a crate and ready to be picked up by your carrier.

I've been looking into the pain in the ass of shipping trans-ocean (looked at an engine from AUS) and it's a whole lot of not fun. best bet would be to find enough space for your crate in someone's shipping container and get it over.
