I hope they read this - I'm in business and I'll quit or go broke before I do to someone what they just did to me!!!

I ordered an ATX y-pipe and cat-back system last month. Ron said that the cat-back was in stock, and that the y-pipe would be in "by the end of the week" ie: 2-3 days.

Several weeks go by, several phone calls, each getting a revised (backward) delivery date on the y-pipe. I think, well OK, it's the holiday season, I won't have time now to install for a while, plus the longer I wait the less salt damage (if we ever get any snow around here).

So now it's Dec. 20th and I get home to find my American Express bill arrived today (and is due Dec. 30th). Guess what????

They billed the whole thing to me on November 27!!!!! What's with that????

Not only do I not have the merchandise, but now I have an over $1200.00 credit card bill due less than a week after Christmas.

I was hoping that I hadn't made a mistake ordering from them; obviously I was wrong!

Live and learn, take heed from my mistake. I am seriously ******.

I was thinking that in the future, per others' recommendations, I would order SS merchandise through SHO Nut, PP, Cincy, or SP, but for me it'll be anything but SHO Shop products.

If anybody from the SHO Shop reads this and would care to apologize, credit my card and rebill in January or whenever the heck I get my stuff, and throw in free shipping and another apology, I'll post an update, but I'm not holding my breath.

Deja Vu did they take a Page from the Fred H SC drama. I go with SHO-Nut they have always done well by me, unless it's something they don't stock then there are lots of Resalers around.

You're right, it was Ray, not Ron.... and Ray... and then Tom.... and Tom... and Tom....

I was so irritated I couldn't think too well! Still am, now that I mention it. Darn right I'll be burning up the phone wires as soon as the sun rises on the left coast.

Yup, dispute it...you'll still have to pay something, I'm not sure how American Express works, but if you dispute you won't have to pay that amount for sure.

Juat an update.... I talked to Vadim a week ago; he never really apologized, just followed up with the tracking number on my y-pipe which did arrive last Saturday.

The Cat-back system which was "in stock" when I ordered it, has not shipped - now Edelbrock is out of the mufflers...

His explanation about the "in stock" was kind of a "just in time" thing, and that this usually doesn't happen.

No apology or response really to my repeated questions about charging the card in advance, only an offer of a "discount" on my next purchase.

Still waiting.

Deja Vu JB, I ordered Y pipe from them in August of 2000, They said they had it in stock and paid for 3-Day express. After several calls I finally received it in mid November. I pulled the old Y pipe out, (which is not fun in the rust belt) and installed the supposed high quality sho shop Y. I go to install the front bank O2 sensor and come to find out that when they had it manufactured, the chuck was not in the right spot, the O2 would not go in because of the Motor Mount. Called SS again, Tom or Ray, can't keep track, put the phone down looked at the shipment and went uh-oh, not a good sign, he said he would ship a fixed one out tomorrow, three weeks later a replacement piece Sho's up. All they did was weld in the O2 hole and tap in a new one a few degree's off so the O2 would fit. Did not look to profesional. Also it is not quite just bolt on, I had to fabricate a piece so it would fit stock exauhst. I am glad that I am not the only one that question's their rep.

A suggestion here: USE SHONUT. Not only do they deal with ShoShop for you but they also give free shipping on orders over $300 and charge the same price as ShoShop for SS merchandise.

wow, it's sad when the BBB has an unsatisfactory rating on you, and you still don't do anything about it. Did you notice his other trade names too? Stay away people!

Well you guys sure aren't making me feel better. I have ordered about $3500 worth of parts from various vendors in the last couple of months. SHO Nut has been an absolute joy to work with, but I did order SHO Shop's "new" high temp. coated y-pipe. I went through SHO Nut just because I can order through Nick online. Guess we'll see how the quality is. I will keep everyone posted.

sho_dwn,

By ordering off Sho Nut, you have pretty well avoided most of the unsatisfactory reasons behind the BBB rating.
The Y-Pipe is decent quality. Actually, alot of their stuff is decent quality. It is their customer service that is the problem.
Keep in mind that Sho Nut is only capable of sending the parts to you as they arrive to them, but they tend to be on top of it and get things done better than if you ordered directly from SS.
I have been waiting for Underdrive Pulleys forever (sound familiar anyone?). However, Josh from Sho Nut installed on my car the one missing pulley wheel from one of his cars. So, I have all new underdrive pulleys and one from Josh which I will replace when mine comes in.
Of course, I may be too old by then to work on cars.
Sho Nut will treat you right, so don't get yourself in a panic right now.
