What's up folks???

Name's Michael, from way down in Mississippi.

I bought my first Taurus last week, and found this forum earlier today doing some google searching.
My Taurus: 2014 SHO, Tuxedo Black/Black Interior

Car is pretty stinking quick, and gets relatively decent fuel mileage... I've only driven it about 3-400 miles since I've gotten it, and really enjoyed it. There are a few things that I'm looking to change and upgrade along the way.

I bought the car to become my semi-daily instead of my ‘14 Ram EcoDiesel, which I’ll be selling around the first of the year. I’m a travel nurse, so my time at home is limited.

My namesake comes from my long term toy, my ‘86 Mustang GT that’s been a cone killer for over 10 years, and is currently waiting on me to return to get her moving under her own power again...

Welcome in. I'd like to see pics of the 4 eye.

I've decided that my next project will be an 85-89 Fox Notchback. I love the look of the 4 eyes but I prefer the later quarter windows so I'm torn.

WHO DAT!

Glad you could find our corner of the Internet, welcome!

Fluid changes of all drivetrain components should be a top priority, especially being down in the heat like you are.

I was torn on that too, until I saw that inner plastics had to be hanged to the later, more rounded style. I need to pick up some new sail panels to put my outside mostly back together.

I’ll see if I can come up with more pics. She’s been riding a set of dollies for almost a year now. Planning on gettting a new fuel pump and relay, and gettting it to a friend to swap in a newer engine to hold me over to COYOTE TIME!!!!

WHO DAT , indeed.

Welcome! We love pics too!

Already in progress. Car is currently looking like a Jetson’s episode, and I’ve already changed the oil, trans fluid, and let the PTU drain all night. PO had already changed out brake fluid and rear diff.

It’s my pleasure. I’m not normally a black fan (too hard to keep truly clean), but this one was a dream of a deal, and I’ve known the owner for almost 2 decades, and I knew how well the car had been cared for.

Happy Saturday, y’all!!!

Welcome to the OP! :)
I'm also a Fox guy as well as SHOs, currently have a 92 Notch, factory 5.0/5 spd.

Chad, I'm also a fan of the 4-eyes... especially the 86 as that was the first year for the 8.8 axle in the Fox (v8 only). Note that 86 is also a one-off year for the 5.0 engine as it is the only year that has absolutely flat, flat-top pistons that will not work with any other OEM heads that I know of and also almost all aftermarket heads... only exception may be Trick Flow 170s if not too much lift and dependent on open/close event timing.

Yep!! Exactly why I have a GT40p headed explorer swap in the works until I go with that ‘yote swap!

I never wanted a 4–eyed car, but fell in love with this one when I saw it. It’s been through several iterations, and is due for a refresh.
