Shifter Handle

Anyone know how to remove the shifter handle in my '97? (Or in <insert your Gen III here>)

Pretty easy to do. Around the shaft there is a plastic sleeve. Push this down and it will expose one or two small screws.

Then carefully pull up on the knobbers. The shift inter lock button is spring loaded and will pop out. Don't loose the pieces. And the OD button will also slide out with the tiny wires enclosed in a plastic sleeve IIRC.
