Have any pictures from the Factory Service Manual for this air filter?

Item 11 is the filter for the seat cushion Thermal Electric Device filter. I haven't had these off my SHO yet, but in my Aviator I just twist the filter housing about 1/4 turn and then remove the filter. I suspect these are similar (they look similar). There is a separate TED for the backrest and the manual suggests that there is a filter for it but I didn't find any such filter in the exploded view diagrams.

It is filtering the air for the Thermal Electric Device (TED) that cools the climate controlled seats. The TED basically circulates air that is cooled up to 14 degrees F from the ambient air. Ford doesn't want all the dust and junk ending up on the fan blades or possibly blocking the perforations in the seating surfaces.

How interesting..I never dug far enough into the details to realize that they're using peltier coolers for the seats. Ages ago I used one of those on a custom made heatsink/fan for a very highly overclocked CPU. That does explain why the air gets so cool.

They're pretty easy to check. I'd suggest just checking them periodically and if you find they're dirty, replace them at that time.
