I have Infinity Perfect 5.1 components up front. IMO they are crystal clear. I have a friend who is also an audiophile and he got in the car and was amazed by the clairty. Unfortunately not everuoney enjoys music as much as I do, soooo if you dont mind the price i piced up the set off ebay for $325 as opposed to the $500-$600 retail I saw at crutchfield or the like.

**EDIT just checked Ebay they are cheaper now than when I bought them.
Infinity Perfect 5.1

ALSO, the RMS is 100watts and the Peak is 400 Watts. so they can handle a nice amount of power. I beieve i am running them at 80watts each right now.

I already have the Infinity's in the doors, I need tweeters.

I'd look for something with a textile dome (silk) instead of metal like titanium or aluminum. Usually silk dome tweeters will not be as harsh.

I used to have a set of harsh sounding Pioneer tweeters in my old k-car and it sounded good at the first. After a bit of listening they became harsh. You'd have to turn down the treble or the volume as you'd get a headache.

Have a look at some home audio speakers. www.madisound.com is a good source. They've got a discussion forum there that might be of some help.

how are you planning on removing the bass? Do you already have crossovers, or are you going to clip the old tweeter out and wire the new tweeters to the stock crossovers?
