Sable Hood swap?

I was looking and it looks like the sable hood is exactly the same.....I can get one for $40 to replace my smashed in one.... or I can spend $125 and get the correct one from another yard.
Same deal with fenders....do I go for Sable or base?
.....and the header panel....I think I remeber the headlight header panel was from the Sable and not a base Taurus. I am pretty sure I need to sable headlight.
My friend hit a deer with my car.....and now I gotta do a lot of fixing.

I have HEARD that a sable fender has some clearance issues, but not sure why. I always thought they were the same. And, yes, the SHO is basically a sable front end, withought the center headlight thing, but it's got the same headlight panel/bracket thing. I would say go with the Sable hood, I just can't tell you for sure if it'll fit or not...

Yeah I was pretty sure about the headlight thing....but wanted confirmation. The hoods look 100% the same. I know the door from the Base Taurus will fit.

hmmmmmm.....the big reason I am looking to do this this way is also I can get the correct color too.
I may get the sable fender....but they offer a fitment warrenty too...so if it don't fit....then I can swap out for another fender.

the sable hood has different bracing underneith, although the outside is the same. it will not clear the SHO engine, the fenders are the same, you just may need to drill some holes for the cladding. The headderpanel and headlights are the same with the exception of the fishtanks. the sable headlights do have a provision to bolt the fish tanks to. I have had a sable fender on a SHO with no problems. Malachi, I have a complete front clip from a SHO I'd be willing to part with if you want to make me an offer for any of the parts from it.

The only thing I will need....."maybe" would be the fish tank to add in..... as local yard I buy stuff from does not have any SHO's.......oh yeah....and a factory fog lamp as that is now missing from deer too.
The hood would be too much to ship. I can get locally.....but i'd pay about $125 and have the wrong color.
BTW....I just threw out a hood a few weks ago that was only a little dented.....which is better than all jacked up anyday. Thanks for the info and the offer though.
I don't really want the car anymore and intend to fix it up for her.....again.
I just spend a bunch of cash having trans re-built. But it is just getting too many little things adding up.
I want to yank the motor and trans and drop into the back of my GEO. *begin blazing here*
