Running one muffler?

What do you guys think of running only one muffler mid way in the exhaust and straight pipe out the rear? Any advantages or disadvantages in this setup? I wouldn't think there would be any problems. I just wouldn't want to choke it out or anything. There's a guy selling his 99 on here with a single magnaflow on it and a sound clip to hear it. Check it out , I think it sounds pretty mean.

Here is what mine sounded like with a single 3" Magnaflow with equal length y-pipe and no cats. Needledd to say I added another muffler, it was insainly loud.

If it was just me deciding then I might try it but I know my girlfriend wouldn't like it that loud. Guess I'll buy 2.

That made me giggle for some reason

I really like the sound of the two magnaflow mufflers. I'm going to try to get a launch and fly by on tape i nthe next few nights, It is obviously not as loud but sounds mean as ****.

I did a single Cherry Bomb out the driver's side, just in front of the rear wheel opening.
