Rocker Panel Cladding Issue

Replaced my rocker panel and made a new strip to hold the outer cladding in place, located it in the same place the old one was located.

Went to put my cladding back on and found I couldn't lift the panel high enough to get the top edge over the new strip, the back door is in the way.

Any suggestions on what the best solution is?

Slide it on, front to rear.

Does the front wheel have to come off to do this?

I don't recall... maybe? It's been a while.

I just did it, and yes the wheel must come off. And add some dish soap to the top of the plastic cover to make the slide easier.
