The SHO Community has lost one of its earliest members, and a good friend to many of us.

Don Mallinson passed away this morning, Sunday March 18th. Don had surgery in early February for a brain tumor. He had been recovering, but he had fallen this morning, which apparently had dislodged a blood clot that they had been monitoring.

Ken Mallinson had called me early this afternoon. They are currently making arrangements. Services to be March 31st from 11am to 1pm at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington, IL. **This is a Correction**

Ken has set up a Dropbox for pictures of Don that folks would like to share: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rl37cqz4c0ty0o9/AACjxqUA589KO7NvF5gQk6ISa?dl=0

A name I remember from my earliest SHO days, Don was a massive contributor to the SHO world. Somebody whom I would like to have met, but never did, his influence will surely live on through those who knew him, and vicariously through the rest of us in the community.

RIP Ken, learned much from him over the years, all the way back to 1995. Remember well first meeting him in person during One Lap of America in the late 90s

Rosetta and I made it home to Oklahoma late last night after attending Don's Memorial Service. We all lost a great friend, but the number of SHO folk in attendance from around the country is a true testament to his incredible legacy. It was good to see some friends we hadn't seen in years.

Rest in peace dear friend. I hope you know how special you were to so many people.

If anyone wants to honor Don, then they should come to the SHO Convention in Tulsa in July. I'm sure it will tickle him to look down and see a huge turn out of the faithful continuing the tradition he carried on for so many years.

See you in Tulsa,

Paul and Rosetta
