Uhh lets see here.... I just replaced both e brake cables on my 91.....
* Disconnect from the spring thingie on the caliper
* Remove the C-clip
* Push out of caliper(might have to tap it real good with a screwdriver and hammer to break it loose)
* Cut/remove zipties or whatever are holding it to your control arms
* Might have to disconnect a bracket in the center of the car(some do, some don't)
* If it has a big bushing where it passes through the underbody (don't remember which cable does, maybe both do), pop that bushing out(hard part
* where it connects to the front cable it's either going to have 2 nuts on the stud connecting it to the main cable, or it'll connect directly to the front cable.
If it's just the two nuts, remove the nuts and it's loose.
If it connects directly to the front cable, well that thingie is a little fun, with a little luck I was able to get a screwdriver in there and spread the connector that squeezes around it, then you slide the cable toward the front of the car and it'll pop out of the connector.
* The actual hard part: there's probably a piece of metal that pops into place where it passes through the underbody, and the thing expanded when it was installed throught the hole. You have to either break off or bend in the petals that expanded, then it'll pop through freely. It's not easy to get to, or even to see, and is a good test in patience.
I know it's vague, but it was many months ago, and I don't have pics. Good luck
tool
Oh yeah, from there it should be all loose and you can remove it from the car and throw it away(or hang it, put some oil at the top every day or two and let it soak down through, you'll have a good cable again)
