Replacement power steering hoses?

Hey guys, I'm looking around and not having any luck finding a replacement reservoir-to-cooler hose that I need for my power steering pump. I had to cut my old one off when I yanked the engine because the line was just simply stuck on the ****** of the reservoir. I know you can simply get replacement hose from AutoZone and cut it to length, but I'd like to get a hose that has the bends formed to it like the factory one did. Anyone know where I can find one of these?

I have also already tried the the local Ford dealer and they're of course discontinued. I was given a list of dealers that my still have the hose I need and no luck with that either. Any help on this would be great!

For the most part I think that they are gone. Your best bet would be to find some bulk hydralic hose - and cut a piece to fit.

I went through the same process when I did my motor swap - except I didn't destroy my old one because I was afraid I wouldn't find a new one. I searched high and low....none to be found.

You need to get hydraulic return line, not Hyd. hi pressure hose.Return line will bee rated at 300 psi working pressure. Anything above that rating will be next to impossible to slide on a swedged ******. You also need to reuse the old or find capadible clamps to fasten the hose. Plain srcew type hose clamps are a crap shoot and may be a problem.

Yea - bulk hose is your best shot. Most over-the-counter parts stores carry bulk ATF cooler line and this is what I used (3/8, IIRC).

I just did a non-VAPS swap and replaced everything in the system. One thing I noticed that didn't make a lot of sense to me is the way that line is routed. Why would you cool the fluid, send it back over the tranny, and then between the firewall and rear exhaust manifold to get back to the reservoir? If you study the nose of your car, you will find at least two alternative routes for this line that are completely hidden and away from the radiator/condenser/road surface. Just my 2 cents.

In most any city there will be at least one shop that specializes in building and/or repairing hydraulic hoses, a/c hoses, etc. You should be able to find them in the phone book under hydraulic hoses, or automotive a/c repair.

If you want to spend the money to have a shop like that build you a hose, it won't work any better than the fixes already suggested here, but will look a lot better.

This is another option for you, but these places are usually a bit pricy, just because they know you can't buy a new hose, or you wouldn't have them build you a custom one.

It's just 3/8 bulk ps return line. Any decent parts store will have it by the foot.
