Replaced clutch, notchy shifting when at a stop

As some of you may know, I just replaced my clutch with great results. I am very pleased with the butter smooth shifting and clutch pedal feel (teflon impregnated TOB fork bushings). The clutch is currently being broken in and I couldn't be happier with it.

My only dilemma is this: Shifting on the fly is extremely smooth; there is little to no resistance in the shifter. It's only while the car is running and at a stop when it's a little harder to get into gear. I think it might be my choice of tranny fluid. I drained the tranny fluid during the replacement and topped it off with Redline D4ATF (about 2.5 quarts worth). I remember reading about some people not being happy with Redline for the above reason.

Should I drain the existing fluid and top it off with Mobil or something? Any other suggestions are appreciated :thumb:

Here is what my car had replaced:

Fibertuff 9-puck disc, HD PP, Bryan King aluminum subframe bushings, new subframe bolts, reground stock flywheel, ceramic bearing TOB, teflon impregnated TOB fork bushings, new TOB fork, rear main seal, Kirked tranny mount, plastic sway bar endlinks, Redline tranny fluid and a new starter.

The lining of the new blocking rings really really like Mobil 1. ;)

Thanks Kenny and Beth! I simply don't understand how this Redline D4 ATF can make shifting into gear that difficult at a stop. I've had this fluid in my previous SHO and it did wonders. I'm going to try that Mobil 1 ATF and see if that changes anything.

I have 1 more question: When I filled the tranny up, the car was slightly jacked up. I allowed the fluid to pour/drip out the 3/8" fill hole until it stopped and the fluid was flush with the bottom of the plug. Should I have let the fluid drain out with the car all the way down? Would the slight angle allow more tranny fluid to stay in the tranny? Would this hurt it at all?
