im still in the process of gutting my car. its been several months, and im removing my jbl with sub out of my car, there are lots of wires goign to and from the amps and such, i want to remove all thats not needed, but i still need the power to run to the headunit i have in the car, im running new wires fromt he headunit to the new speaker that will be installed soon, can i remove everything there, or will that not allow the hu to turn on?

or would it be best to just pull everything and hardwire the hu in, there wont be a dash in the car and the hu will be mounted in front of the shifter facing up, its just runninga cd changer so the angle wont be a problem.

i understand that in a gutted car a sterio doesnt make alot of sence, but the system im adding in weights in at like 3pounds so im not worried, that and my non-paying sponcer is a band,a dn im supposed to be spreading theire work so without a sterio i wouldnt be much of a demo car.

sry for all that.

Well, you dont have to run new wires from the headunit to the speaker locations as there is a 2nd plug in the dash that runs from the head unit directly to the speakers.

As far as the wires/amps/sub in the trunk, you can remove all that and the head unit will still work with no problems.

Basically, you can pull the amps and subs, pull the wiring that went to those, use the 2nd clip already in the dash that goes directly to the speakers, and you should have what your looking for.
