Removing pinstripes

The SHO I'm buying has a gaudy silver Tapestripe down the body break. (looks like you know what on the Emerald Green) Any good tips for removing it?

i think the stripes are clear coated on.. My red 94 had a clear coat over them.. if they arnt clear coated id say get a heat gun or hair dryer and heat them up a little then start pealing them off.. after there off get some cleaner wax and go over it so the line wont be so noticeable
