I know this is a dumb question, but i am having some trouble taking off the headlamps. I dont know how to take apart those little wierd clips that hold it to the bracket.

Thanks, Brian

You need to spread them out cause they have little tabs that are locked into the slits on the plastic piece. Once you spread them out then they pull up.

PITA.

The best way I found is to take bent needle nose pliers and jam one end into the hook that goes into the slot (if you look at the clips you'd know what I mean) and pull that side of the clip out of the slot. Then pull up so that side of the clip doesn't catch in the slot after you take out the pliers (maybe 1-2 mm). Then there's a little tab that catches on the top of the clip, use the needle nose or bent screwdriver to pull the clip over that tab (another 1-2mm). Then jam the bent needle nose pliers into/under the other side's hook that goes into the slot, pull it up so that side of the clip isn't caught in the retaining slot on the other side. Then just work the clip back and forth off of the headlight post while pulling up with pliers. Practice on the top ones before trying to get the bottom one (or start with the bottom one, if you can't get it off then give up without wasting your time on the top ones.)
