I need to remove the dash panel completely out of the car.I`ve never had it all the way out because i can`t see how.The only thing holding it in are the FOG LIGHTS and DEFROST switch panels. How do they come disconnected,i don`t see anywhere up front and obvious.

Jeremy,
Did you get all the allen head screws behind the "clamshell" of the steering column? Also there is a nut behind the headlight switch that I missed the first time that I pulled mine. Just unplug the wiring harnesses off the backs of the defrost and fog lamp switches and it should come off without too much problems. Just give it a good tug. Be careful not to lose the little rubber covers for the plastic pins on either end of the dash panel. They help alleviate rattles after reinstallation. What exactly are you removing it for?

Everything else comes off,i just don`t see how to disconnect either switch.I guess i`ll just have to look harder.Exactly where do both switches disconnect from their harness?
I`m pulling it off to drill 2" holes for guages, ala Don Donelson`s old blower SHO.I have one mounted already, but it`s much easier if i could pull the panel out to drill it.

The defrost switch just has a tab that you lift a bit and pull off the harness, the fog lamp, has a little button that you push in on the right side of the harness that releases it from the switch. That should do it, I just pulled my entire dash to install a aluminum gauge bezel and reinstalled it in under 30 minutes...good luck..if you need me to walk you through it, call me..915-694-7148

I have to work tomorrow at 1 p.m., but if you need me hit me up in the morning, and give me a number to call you. I don't mind the long distance to help a sho owner! Good luck!
