OK guys, i have hit a snag... Finally got all of the power steering stuff off. How do I get the Engine out. It seems to have problems separating it from the MTX. The shaft is still preventing it from coming out. Is there a special way to get these things apart, and lift the engine out? I am at this stage and I need to get this thing out.

What shaft? The axle shaft? Take those out. Take them out of the knuckles and out of the tranny. Drop the tranny out the bottom, then pull the motor out the top.

half-way there, I think.
You can not seperate the engine and tranny while it's sitting in the engine bay. If you have not dropped the subframe (droppped subframe will allow you to lower the engine/tranny low enough so the tranny can clear the fender well) you can pull the engine and tranny out from the top - just be careful.

It's a lot easier out of the bottom (for the tranny). Otherwise you have a lot more wiring and lines (p/s) across the tranny you have to move.

Correcto on the subframe, I figured that went without saying. That's about the first thing to come off...

The easiest way I have found, is to put a board across the lets of the engine picker. Then you can drop the motor/tranny flat sitting down. Easy then to remove the tranny, and then pull the motor right out the top.
