I searched the forums and I couldn't find this topic. I have a DEI remote start on my 1995 ATX SHO. I can't figure out how to start my car with the remote. I have pressed the lock and unlock button at the same time but still nothing. Did all SHO's come with remote start? This is a picture of the sticker inside the engine bay.

Thanks, Ed

look under the dash driver side and you will find the remote start and the model number is marked on it

There could be another remote that you never got when you bought the car.

Or.... press down the unlock button for a few seconds, that's how my friend connected the remote starter to my car.

Is it the DEI remote or the ford remote? Two Button or Four button. The car may not even have the remote start in it or it my not be hooked up right or malfuncting. Is the hood shut when you try it? Does the DEI remote lock and unlock your doors?

Am I near you I dont know coopernish is?

Car is automatic so I don't need an ebrake. Hood is closed and I think it's the Ford remote. Four button lock, unlock, trunk and panic. When I get the car back from the shop (rebuilding tranny) next week I will check under the dash. Thanks, Ed

If its an aftermarket unit that is prolly the wrong remote. And being an automatic doesnt mean you dont need the ebrake to remote start it. It all depends how it is hooke up.
