Remote Start

My 2015 PP SHO is having an issue, the remote start no longer is functioning. I have not hooked up my Diag tool to pull the code. But after trying remote start the check engie light comes on, if I don't use the remote start no check engine light shows up.

Has anyone seen this before? If so, is it an easy fix?

SOmetimes remote start will not work with engine codes. I read somewhere to prevent engine damage but it could be the starter or electrical pathway. You need to pull codes to get ideas on where to begin looking.

Hood switch needs to be in the normally-closed position to work also

Yes with a code, you will not get remote start, there right on the code issue and the hood switch. Both will not allow a remote start if there is an issue.
