Hello everyone,
I have a 2014 SHO and am loving it. Any idea how to increase the remote range for the remote start?
Appreciated.

Take your keys from your pocket and hold the FOB under your chin when you attempt to remote start. LOL! I kid...honestly I do not know of anything to make it better. There's lots of factors that determine range really.

I personally hate the short range of the factory remote start on the SHO. I installed a long range OEM remote start on the wife's F-150 and it's like 10X the range of the SHO.

Sadly, under the chin is the only way I can get over 50 yards. It blows for sure. My wife's 07 Durango is awesome. I can start it from inside a store and have no doubts it started. How long range, 2 way remotes aren't standard on cars yet boggles my mind!

Funny and I've tried the under the chin method...
Sadly, I just need about another 20 feet to get it to turn on from work.
Oh well, I guess it is still nice to start her from the warm garage in the morning.

Wag on eb-pf.com installed a Ford phone remote kit on his 2013 SHO. He can start it from his cell phone. Might be worth looking into.

Those kits are uber expensive and require an annual paid service to use it. I really like that kit but man it's just not worth the cost IMO.

If you look around you can get the for $200-$300 but a dealer must activate them. They are easy to install. Service is $50 a year. It even sends texts and emails if anyone breaks into your car.
