Red light and alarm, activates when close to other cars

Just bought my 2010 SHO today, the dealer is mailing me the owner manual which they forgot to give me. The car alarms and a red light on dash lights up when close to other vehicles. I think its a crash warning, any idea how to disable?

Until you get the paper manual, you can view/save a digital version of it.

That is definitely the Collision Warning System. I'm curious as to why it is being activated. How close are you? Moving AND stopped? Obviously when the car is running. I don't have it installed in my 2010 but I'm familiar with the system.

Does the ACC still work? Is there a leaf on the sensor?

Thanks guys for the help!! I did figure out how to de -activate the alarm. It goes off when say I am traveling behind a car, they stop to turn off the road, and I go around them, It will go off. Or if I approach a stopped vehicle to quickly, it must have a sensor that activates when I get close to a car. Im not use to the technology this thing has yet!!
