Does anyone know of a source for JUST the little "donut" shaped bushings that go on the rear sway bar link (sway bar to strut) in TPR? I bought poly ones by themselves from energy suspension before, but they are not working out. I don't need the whole "link kit" since Im using the bushings for something else other than the rear sway bar.

Is this a mount reinforcement application? Just curious why you need the TPR branded bushings.

TPR isn't a brand. It is referencing the material used to make the bushings. Thermo Plastic Rubber The TPR bushings tend to give a longer service life as well as having a higher durometer rating than other materials used in this application.

Go to a shop that sells Hellwig suspension parts. Usually a 4x4 shop

Since the center hole is 3/8" and not 5/16" that most everyone else uses, I'd recommend you get a complete kit. MUCH better than OE, Addco, etc. Stronger, zero-deflection kit.

That's what I used to do, but the Hellwig kit is the same $$ and a whole lot better. It just takes a bit longer to get the parts if you don't have a local 4X4 shop.
Plus, if you measure your required legnth while the car is on ramps, you can call Hellwig and they will give you all the part numers you need for a custom size. Say you put in Eibachs or other lowering springs. The stock legnth end-links will NOT be at the proper angle anymore.

Plus, you get a more accurate bar response from the Hellwig kit over other brands. The car will ride smoother as the bar reacts immediately instead of a slight transition before the bar reacts. It will corner flatter as well, and if you have a large rear bar, the rear will not have a tendancy to 'snap oversteer'.

This is my personal experience after several different kits, breaking the OEM ones several times in the process, putting up with clunking Addco and Energy Suspension busings due to them deflecting, and in general being miserable with the rear suspension.

"That's my story and I'm sticking to it!"

Eh, I actually just installed a set of the trw heavy duty endlinks today and the car handles alot better. Granted, I was missing an endlink for the last 10 or 20 thousand miles so any improvement will be drastic lol.

Getting new tires and a rotate/balance and 2 new rear hubs this week probably helps too...

Oh Snap !!!!!

Does any one have the part # for the Hellwig kit? I just broke the right rear Link coming home tonight. I guess I shouldn't have been driving home so hard. Scared me to death. Just about to the apex of this nice tight down hill and BANG !!! No guard rail on the corner and I've never thought about looking over the edge. But the tree tops aren't that high off the road and those are some big Ponderosa's. :hyper:
