rear strut mounts

Can the rear struts mounts be replaced without talking the struts entirely? I somehow doubt it but let me know anyway.

It is possible, but I don't recommend doing it. I suggest removing the entire assembly. If you have ez access to the mounting nuts, I.E. remove the seat belt retractor, it's a 30 minute job. Get yourself a spring compressor, you will need it.

Did you ever concider using a ratches strap(tie down)to hold the spring compressed?I know,ghetto style,but i am very cheap

Ok cheapskates. It's $40 to loan the compressors from autozone, and they refudn the 40 when you bring em back. Is it that hard, or do you want to lose an appendage due to flying springs?
