SO after a long battle with a broken pinch bolt my rear strut is out and free. Now in order to get it out I had to rotate the knuckle and compress the spring and I finally worked the old strut out.

Now for installing the new strut assembly do I need to compress the spring? Is there an easier way to install them?

Thanks!

IIRC you got the easy struts right? If so you don't need to do anything more than install it and have a beer and admire your craftsmanship once done.

You shouldnt have to. The easiest way is to just sit indian style right underneath, and have someone catch the tower bolts once you poke them through. Very tricky to do by yourself. If you can get the car high enough.. You could always rest it on a 5 gallon bucket.

Yeah I got the monroe quick struts...

I'll try mating the strut to the tower and see if I can match up the hub to the srtut.
