rear strut differences

what exactly is the difference between 90 - 92 and 93 - 95 rear struts? i guess the older style struts are longer but what exactly makes the different? spindles?

There's no difference other than the length of the strut. The spindles are the same, everything else is the same. The long and short struts are interchangeable between vehicles.
