I recently (about 3 months ago) replaced my front motor mount with a stock one from my brothers 90. This seemed to work for a while to keep the engine from hitting the hood, but recently I've realized that the manifold is getting shiny in spots it hasn't been before. The previous owner let the mount stay broken for a while and there was a lot of rubbing on the manifold to begin with, but it seems to be getting worse. I'm starting to wonder if the rear mount is broken. Is there any way to test if the rear mount is broken without just replacing the front and seeing if it helps? I'm short on cash and cannot afford to buy both. There is a good chance the stock mount broke (it was rather old) but it looked fine when I put it in. Once again, any input is greatly appreciated.

When you let off the gas it should move forward, you'll feel it. Ever driven a SHO with a Fidanza? Same thing or feeling when letting off the gas in 1st or 2nd.

If the front mount has been worn for quite a while before you changed it, chances are the rear mount took a beating as well. When I changed my front mount I still had excessive engine movement and had to replace my rear one as well. BTW, how are your subframe bushings?

I was wondering what the cause of that little jump was. It's the same when I jab the throttle too. F***. I really didn't want to have to replace the rear mount.I heard its not exactly a walk in the park. That would explain why I broke two semi-decent mounts in the past three months. I thought maybe they were in worse shape than I thought but I guess not. Blu-By-U I think you're mistaking me for my brother Chris. I think he recently purchased subframe bushings for his new plus. I could be mistaken though. I haven't talked to him in a couple of weeks so he could have bought all kinds of SHO s*** in that amount of time. :D Once again, thanks for the help guys. BTW, about how much would a good rear mount cost? Thanks again.
