I'm replacing the brakes and pads on my '92 SHO and when I took off the rear caliper to screw the piston back in, it goes about half way, keeps rotating, but will not go all the way in like it's supposed to. Any suggestions?

try applying more presure or when it gets to the point it stops going in lightly tap the piston with a hammer and then retry

Back it all the way out, crack the bleeder loose and let it drip, then turn it in. Had to do that on the 500 I worked on last week.. new caliper too.. didnt turn in at all until I turned it out.. dunno why... figure it might be the same type of thing on the SHO's.. cause I hate em myself... I just usually get new calipers.. :) Thats how much I like doing those.. LoL

:stupid: haha

tried my best at the same thing, to press a piston back enough to fit on new pads, and ending just buying new ones after the bleeder valves broke too.

If they look too old you might wanna consider new ones too

Not to hijack, but my slider pin is stripped on my RR, I think. I was trying to see if it was seized b/c mine is sticking. It's not...the pin does its job and slides/adjusts but the bolt will not back out, so I guess it's stripped. Not sure how to get that sucker out. I'm going to just replace the whole caliper anyway for the **** of it.
