rear brake upgrade

Hello, Im going to install 89 SHO rear calipers on my 95 sho, so I can do the 11.6 inch rear brake upgrade. I already have steel braided hoses on the car. Is the rear brake hose going to work with the 89 calipers. thanks

What's the benefit of 89 over 95? I have a 95 ATX and I thought any rear brake upgrade was for looks only.

Well the 93-95 SHO's had solid rotors and the 89-92 had vented ones. It does look better but if properly installed with bias plugs you can prevent the tremendous nose dive you get from having bigger brakes up front ie 12.5" + kits. And to the OP you should not have any problems with the lines.

89 SHO did not have abs.

You will want to get spindles from a 90-92 sho with abs.
These have the "vented" rotors, unlike your solids you have now.

but he is going to put 11.6 on the rear, the adapter plate will determine which backing plate/spindle to use

You could just upgrade to the larger 11.6 rotors.

Also i wouldn't use an 89 as they have a unique bracket setup I believe, same calipers though.
