quite an increase on just a tune

it's not a flip chip like the older cars, it's a flash tune,

it's a 93 octane tune. if your turning the wick up on your car, i wouldn't run anything less, unless your running 91 because thats all you have, then i would have it set up for that

I would imagine that you can load a base map and a real time map on the fly. The base map WILL be the new flash and it will default to this tune anytime power is cut. A real time map can be flashed in a matter of seconds and will be lost when power is cut (remove battery).

The car picked up from a 13.84 to 12.75 with a tune. I did have the pass seat removed compared to stock which is probably good for half a tenth or so. The car went 12.9's several times in not as good conditions with the seat in.

The guys at MD know their stuff!

I think your explanation a few weeks back was adequate That with you in the driver's seat and no pass. seat, the total seat weight (both seats) is probably about the same as someone else in the drivers seat with the pass. seat in place.

That would be a nice feature, as it's the way my Cobb tuning works on my Legacy. When I drive out west to visit my dad, I quickly flash a lower octane tune for the gas out there, and my 93 octane map is my base map.

I hear you. I've been tempted to ask COBB if they've thought about making the AP compatible with the new SHO. I originally got my AP because I didn't know what tune was on my car and wanted to flash something on it. I have since started using AccessTuner Race and I really like the feature of saving specific tunes on the AP and flashing when desired.

Jason, presently we cant even datalog the important things. So everything that is going on is a total guess.

If the guy that was dynoing was monitoring the A/F then he is doing better than anyone else that is tuning the car presently.

Yes, AFR is being watched closely.

As far as datalogging, yes it does work. It is not the same as we are used to, and SCT still needs to add a bunch of parameters, but with our experience, a little bit of math using the available parameters, and a third party logging software for AFR, we are able to see the things we need to make sure that it is running properly and safely. The owner (and also one of the tuners) has put 2200 miles on the car with that, and more aggressive tunes with no problems.

I would love to see what a company like APR or HPA could do with the tuning on the 2010 SHO, A company that is really use to tuning all wheel drive, twin turbo cars.

TT and AWD ain't the issue. It's the PCM software.
