Have what may be a dumb question. Is the SHO windshield that of a regular Taurus or is it from the Sable? I think I remember reading somewhere that it was a Sable windshield and I can't seem to look it up anywhere. I need to replace my windshield for my SHO and don't want to order the wrong one. Thanks!

I wouldn't do it yourself. I would have a professional company order and install the windshield. Sure you may save some bucks but it's not worth the hassle if it's done improperly. The majority of body shops dont even install windshields themselves. There is a company that installed a windshield in my SHO. He came to where i worked and did it in 20 minutes. It cost about 200 bucks or so but it was done and it was done successfully. Good luck!

most glass companies include the cost of install into the price so your going to paying for it anyways. Unless you got a used window, but I'd still have to agree and say have someone else install it.

after watching the guy replace my windshield, I would definitely not want to do it myself. If you do, leave your windows cracked for the day, so opening/shutting the doors will not upset the glue.

Order the 1994-95 Taurus/SHO/Sable windshield. It keeps more heat out, presumably designed with the less efficient R134a AC system in mind.
IMO, PPG and Carlite are the best quality...seems to make a difference as far as resistance to chipping.
