Question about clutch adjustment

I have done the auto adjustment i have read about on here however i havent heard a "click" yet.Should i do this while the engine is running?I have lifted up on the clutch pedal with all of my might and both hands but i cannot feel it move at all towards me.Should it move much?ALso my gas pedal is extremely hard to to push in.Is this normal on these cars?Is there something i can adjust or ****?Thanks,chris.

If it won't move up any further, then I believe it is properly adjusted. There is about 5 or so mms of upward movement. It doesn't matter if the engine is running or not.

As for the pedal, disconnect the linkage at the trottle body and see if the TB is binding or the throttle cable. I don't know about lubing the cable though.

More'n likely, your throttle cable is skewed. I had one start stiffening up like that on my 92 and about 2 weeks later, it snapped in traffic. Your best bet is goin to get one out of the boneyard. It only takes 2 minutes to change em out and you'll be over-revving the **** out of it for the first three days.

SuperHO,will a gen 1 throttle cable work?Thats all thats in my local junkyard.This stiff pedal is totally ruining the enjoyment i should be having with this car before stuff starts breaking and i have to walk 60 miles to work ;)

yeah......I yanked one out of an '89. The bracket that holds the cable to the firewall is a little different if I remember correctly, but it worked just fine for about 8 months until I blew a diff pin.
