Hey All,

After reading about some of the LED upgrades, etc that members have done, I began to pay attention to the puddle lamps on my car. And I notice that I do not have any illumination coming from my mirrors. The lens is there on the bottom of course, but nothing that I do with locking, unlocking, etc will get any light from it. Window sticker says "Mirrors - Man Fold, painted black, dual power, heated".

My car has the 401A equipment package, with the blind spot monitor. Could it be that I did not get the puddle lamps as outfitted? Or should I have the shop look at it next time I'm in there? Would be curious to hear your thoughts.
Thanks!

Do the dome lights in the car come on when you open the doors or unlock with the FOB?

Unlock with the key fob only illuminates the parking lamps and low markers in the bumper. Unlock at the door handle illuminates the interior courtesy lighting under dash. Dome light in ceiling never comes on, and I don't see anything in the settings that controls that. I wll admit that I have not dug out the Owner's manual yet. . . .

The dark car feature is enabled by the sounds of it. Take it to the dealer and have them check.

Hmm, I'm NOT saying that I don't like the fact that the car does try to stay 'dark', but curious how one might have set that, we did not do it intentionally, and took delivery new w/ 2XX miles on it, transferred froma dealer in WI to the Minneapolis area. I sure have not seen any way via the dash menus to control something like this, yet.

It's done via IDS/dealer programming software. You can't do it through the vehicle itself.

Can one..obtain the ids/dealer programming software/tools? I know it may be a dumb question but with all the tuning options it seems this stuff should be easy to tweak. .

Depends on how much you want to spend...$2000 for OEM.
