Well with the turbo going on and my addiction to HPDE events and having rear fenderwell rott, I decided to make some 275/40 fit on my SHO. I just started the project but here are some initial pics.

Reminds me of them old school cruisers that guys in the early 90s used to crawl around in with the obscene offset...

Yup but most of them only had like 13" rims so it did not matter. Ya know the hommes with spoked wheels and such.

prepare to destroy wheel bearings.

Really shouldn't be much different than running 17x8s with 40mm offset, I'm not running adapters so the distance the wheel ****** is to the hub is no greater should be less actually. If i do its not a problem because i have gen3 sf and swapping bearings is no sweat.

My Black PR 1.2's should be here next week. Between the fact it's a 92, The front splitter and the hood my car will look exactly like yours.

Also, Are those 275's on those TD wheels? I'm kind of wondering how those fit on a 8'' Wide wheel, Because honestly it does not look like the sidewall is deformed to much because of it. Also, I would run those tires for the track, With them sticking out and all at the track to attain the kind of traction you would get. I'm kind of wondering if a 275 tire up front however would have any negative effects on the car as far as handling goes, I.E. - Understeer.

Are you bringing this beast to the convention?
I don't know, i forgot when and where it is.

I'd say that those are 9" wheels.

Yes they are 17x9s, ordered from shonut.

Knowing that they fit under the TD PR 1.2s makes me a happy man. Did you have to do any modification?

Nothing really other than some brake lines but that was really due to the gen3 sf swap, the calipers use a an style fitting but i bet you could use a banjo bolt as long as you got the correct one.
