Problems accelerating above 3200 RPMS

I have a 1993 SHO. GREAT CAR! When I am on the highway doing 70mph the car will feel like it fell out of gear (no clunk just no acceleration). I take my foot off the gas and press the pedal again, it picks up until 3200 rpm and no acceleration. I press the pedal hard and the downshift happens and strong acceleration. I ease up and try to accelerate and the car won't accelerate until it drops below 3200rpm. There is no CEL and I just changed the plugs, wires, O2's, and fuel pump (with filters) 10K ago. I been having this problem for a while. No shifting problems that I know of except the hard downshift of the 93 tranny. Any suggestion? Could this be the D4U1 going bad?

I'm assuming that you own a 93 SHO and did the 94-95 computer upgrade. Is there any way you have a clogged exhaust pipe? Are your secondaries opening at 4k? Is your transmission going? I know that the 93 trannys weren't that good. Ask The Noach SHO. BTW did you change the fuel filter when you did the pump, and did you try a new MAF?

The fuel filters were changed when the pump was changed. I haven't done an upgrade yet. I have read on numerous posts that the upgrade is a 50/50 shot at working. As far as the exhaust, the cats have been cutoff (SC it is legal. The secondaries are opening up, but they hesitate on opening. The engine bogs, then roars to life. The tranny has been inspected by Ford before I bought it and they said it was like new. Go figure. I was wonndering what are the faults to alert me that the D4U1 is going bad. Could the MAF not be working? I also heard that the TPS is elusive on playing tricks on the computer and not lighting the CEL. Could the combo of each be the problem?
