I have premature wearing on my rear drivers side brake, the passenger is worn but fine, but the drivers side pad is worn metal to metal. The slider pins are lubricated. and this happend the last time i changed out the brakes. Im thinking the caliper is hanging up. what do you think?

Check the flow of brake fluid through that line.

You will probably find it is restricted.

The bracket that secures the hose to the strut corrodes, causing expansion on its inner diameter. This in turn pinches the hose closed and does not allow the caliper to release as it should.

Replacing the hose from the caliper to the proportioning valve is the recommended repair for this situation.

The most common cause for this condition is the tearing or cracking of the slider pin boots. This allows moisture and grit to cause rust and jamming of the slider pins that does not allow the caliper to relax away from the disc when the brakes are released. You can get the slider pin repair kit, Motorcraft P/N E7SZ-2B296-A for $20.53. One kit will repair both slider pins on a caliper. If the holes in the caliper brackets are severly rusted or damaged, you will also need to replace the caliper brackets.
