Maybe it's just me but this is what's holding me up. I look and look and I cant figure out how to unbolt the power steering pump from the block. This is about all that left to remove the motor and it's driving me nuts. What bolts and where. Do I go from the bottom? AAARRRGGGHHH! I have a feeling i'm going to be doing this headbang when I find out. Thanks

You gotta go from underneath and remove the rear motor mount in order to get the pump out. It is a total pain in the bum to get it out. Lot of work for such a small pump.

So is this something I need to bother with before I yank the motor or is there a few inches of play where I can do this when I unbolt everything, have the engine up a bit and then unbolt it.

You need to raise the engine up enough to get the rear mount out. After that you should be able to remove the 3 or four bolts that hold the pump to the block. I take it you are going to pull the motor from the top?

Well I managed to get all four bolts undone and it's now loose. Yes it's coming out the top. Everything is done except two tranny bolts and the rear mount. My plan is to undo the subframe bolt and lift unless someone states otherwise. It looks like that should work unless I need to leave the mount on the subframeand undo it from the block.

If you're pulling the engine, WHY ARE YOU REMOVING THE PS PUMP in the car? Disconnect the hardline on the back of the pump, disconnect the line at the reservoir. :)

That's what I would have thought as well but when reading I swear someone said it needed to stay in the car. Thanks for the suggestion. I will do that.
