I have always used the motorcraft in my cars (2 1987 Mustang GT's and my 2000 Ford Expedition. Anyone use Valvoline synthetic or any other kind ? I sucked all the fluid out of my resevior and am going to drain the rest out of the rack and lines when I get under for my lower 60k. Thanks for any input.

In my Gen III I used Mobile synthetic ATF. I don't know if the V6's called for ATF or not. I flushed mine using a procedure from the V8sho website. Basically I disconnected the power steering cooler lines and turned the wheel back and forth a couple times to pump the fluid through (with the wheels of the ground and being careful to not run it dry of course).

I use Amsoil ATX in my '93 and Mobil One ATX in my '97. Three years and still looking new.
