I pulled my factory radio and CD player and put in my Pionees DEH-P7200 in the top spot and my BOSS slim EQ in the bottom spot. The problem is that the EQ only takes up about 1/2 the space. I checkout out pockets for it but none of them are the right size. I went to MachOne (high performance car audio) and they sent me out to there other shop about 30 miles away. I got there and they had it but wanted $45 for a 12in by 10in piece of black ABS plastic. I laughed right in the guy's face and walked out. Just wonderin if anyone might have a piece of plastic they could gimme? I need it to be large enough to cover both spots and I'll cut it out for the CD player and the EQ space. Thanks for any help. thumbs_u burn_out

Ben, you can keep an eye on ebay for the oem cupholder/change drawer or the storage bin with door that are sold there to fill in the space.

If you go to ford they sell a piece that sits in the factory DIN location
it snaps in and all.

20 dollars last time I bought one

I can't use one of those change/cup holders cause the EQ takes up about 1/2 of the space in there. A piece of plastic that I can cut is gonna look the best. Lemme know.

I only need a piece big enough to cover both stereo spots. So like 12in by 10in would be great. If you don't have that much I could make due with about 5in by 8in or so... Just has to be big enough to cover the entire stereo slot and I'll cut a hole in it to slide the EQ through. Thanks for the help. :D

Oh,i have nothing anywhere near that big.I was hoping you`d only need to fill a small strip. Here`s what you can do though.I see you live in a fairly large city, that`s good.Look in your local yellow pages under "Plastics".There should be mold shops, and distributors. You`re looking for a piece of 1/8th" ABS plastic,in *** size.If you go there in person, rather that making a call, odds are they will just give you a scrap piece(ask specifically if you can by a piece of scrap).Machine/Tool buisinesses and shops are generally down to earth, everyday Joe`s that will help you out.

Or,i can give you a very quick, simple solution. If you go to Home Depot(Lowe`s,etc.),they have small pieces of plexiglass in various sizes, mostly under $10.Get the size you need, and you can usually(carefully)score good lines with a sharp razor blade, and snap the pieces off on the edge of a table.Paint the INSIDE of the part black, that way the finish will be a nice gloss black, and the paint won`t chip because it will be on the inside of the dash, not accessable.I`ve used this method also, and it`s quick and easy.Plus, you`ll be very suprised at how nice the paint looks from the back side.
