Hi All! I'm about to get an SHO. I found a great deal on one with the PP about 1000 miles away.I'm supposed to pick it up on Wednesday. I have driven several NON-PP and love them. I have never driven a PP. I have spinal issues and am concerned about the stiffer suspension. A rough ride down the highway may cause me pain. Some people in other message boards have called the ride unbearable on long drives, bouncy, or like a 4x4 pickup truck. I'm a little older and will never go on a track. So I have no need for the PP. But the price is an amazing deal. I do drive long distances so comfort is important and I don't want a regular Taurus. Cars gotta have balls!

If you don't mind, would you SHO owners post your feelings about the ride of the PP vs. the NON-PP.

Thanks so much.

As a non-PP owner, and one who hasn't had the opportunity to experience the PP, i can only comment on my ride. Which is smooth and comfortable. The car still hugs the turns, and has enough get up and go, to put you in front of almost any thing you heart desires. Stiff suspensions are great for the track, but not for the daily driver.

If you can get a good deal, you could probably soften the suspension a little to make it smoother.

I can't even tell it's a performance suspension! I've owned about 15 vehicles in my life so far from rear wheel "boats," to SUVs to sports cars and luxury cars. One of the luxury cars was a 2010 Audi - my 2014 SHO w/PP rides just as nice as the Audi! My wife's family lives 300 miles from us and we've road-tripped several times and it's extremely smooth! The only time you notice the PP is when you actually use it such as hard cornering, etc.

I own a PP and I'm having a hard time seeing where you will have a problem at all. My wife, daughter, and I have traveled several times (1,000+ mile trips) and there simply isn't an issue with the suspension. The "bouncy" and "4x4 truck" truck ride comments have no merit. There does seem to be some impact harshness when encountering the crappy road imperfections here, but I think that has more to do with the low profile tires than the suspension.

Were we to do it over again, we would purchase another PP SHO. I like the improved turn in/steering feel, better handling/improved cornering, the snappier "feel" off the line, the improved brakes, and I really like the add'l cooling that is part of the package!

Buy with confidence and let us all know how you like it!!!

Thanks for all your input. My current car is an Audi allroad and the ride is firm. So the SHO PP may have a better ride. I found a PP locally so I'll be test driving it tomorrow.

WOW! I drove the SHO PP and it was amazing. The handling is amazing. The whole car is amazing. It felt like I was driving a supercar. But when you have a bad spine, you feel everything. The ride is more harsh than my Audi. So I'm going to go with the NON-PP.

I've owned both. A 2k10pp and currently have a 2k11 non pp. The ride is stiffer but on long highway trips I can't tell the difference. Going over speed bumps and broken/ uneven pavement, there is definitely a difference. With minor road imperfections, i can't tell.
