Hi all, been noticing a plastic-y clearcoat coming off of my SHO's rims. Should I be too worried about this? Is there a way/is it worth repairing? I had a **** of a time finding the right products to protect my F-Body's chrome rims and I feel like I'm going through the same thing here with the SHO.

Its a Clearcoat powdercoat. This tends to happen over depending on alot of factors, but there's really nothing you can do about it. Maybe strip it down and have it re-powdercoated clear

Yeah there are rim folks out there that can repair it. Check out the pricing.

I've debated just having the rims entirely powdercosted black for a while. Sounds like it may come sooner than later. Will the rims rust or degrade if I wait until next summer? It's only coming off a couple of rims and in small, occasional chips so I'm not too worried.
