Well I am painting my intake. I'm almost done with everything but the butterflies and I have two questions: 1)Is there an easier was to paint them. The place that moves in the middle of them, should I just cover that up? 2) What color should I paint them. The tanks of the intake are blue and the runners are white. So should I paint the butterflies blue to match with the tanks or white to match with the runners. (The only down to painting them blue is that I would probably have to get more paint, and I just went to the store:nut: )

Thanks

I would tape off the middle part, if you can though, take it all apart then paint. I did this when I got my manifold powdered.

I would paint them blue to match the tanks, again that's how mine are matched and I think the overall look is better this way.

good luck with everything. :thumb:

How do you take the butterflies apart? Do you just have to unscrew those 2 screws? I tried that and they are really really tight. I couldn't unscrew them.

It looks like the screws are starting to strip:doh:

I just got done painting mine a couple days ago and now my intake is back on and it looks great. I just sprayed over them and i was thinking the same about the paint except green. I painted my butterflies green to match the tank because it fits flush with it. The runners are separated by the black couplers. Show some pics when your done:)
