I got the code P0761 and found the TSB and understand what the problem could be but I have a extra AX4N out of a 97 SHO and I took the side pan off to have a look before I rip into the one in my 96. Well what I found was no clips as discribed by all the info I got. The shift soleniods push in, twist and look. The solenoids are mounted in frames with spring steel locks. This may not be a 97 trans is the only thing I can think of.
I am not worryed about doing the job because I am a mechanic. I found the clip part number and procedure of doing it in car. But it surprised me when I didn't find the clips. As I understand the clips hold the shift solenoids in place.
If anyone has any insight into this that they would share I would be ever so greatful.

I found them. There are 6 all together. 4 with the notchs and 2 with out. Now to get into the other one. While I am asking the artical I saw siad order clips and two pump gaskets. I was thinking it would be wise to get valve body gaskets as well.
