Hey guys... I replaced the front oxygen sensor a few months ago with a used one, because the previous one was broken. I suspect this sensor may not be working right either. My pinging is on the drivers side of the engine for sure. Can a malfunctioning/bad oxygen sensor cause "Pinging" in the engine?

Clitaurus,

Low octane fuel?

Check the codes for a malfunctioning knock sensor, and codes for O-2 sensors.

No a malfunctiong O-2 sensor will not CAUSE the knocking or pinging. I suspect you here the pinging on the drivers side because it is closest to you! rangerj
