How bad is you SHO overheating, is it going all the way to the H? Do you drive an ATX or an MTX? If your overflow bottle is getting filled to quickly, you might have a bad radiator cap. Do you have any puddles of coolant? Also your thermostat could be bad and is sticking. So I would suggest you change your thermostat and radiator cap this will be fairly cheap and don't forget to flush out the system. Changing the waterpump requires more time and money so I wouldn't change it unless you are certain that it has gone bad. Well repost with some more info and I'm sure all of the people on SHOFORUM can and will help.

Good tips above.

An overflowing reservoir is often a sign of the system not maintaining pressure. Replace the thermostat and cap for good measure, and have the system pressure tested. Good luck! :thumb:

Wow it this contagious? My wife's 93 atx just started this yesterday. I changed the cap with no change. I bought the thermostat but gaskets won't be in untill Sunday. I am fairly sure the heater core is starting to go and plan on the repair this summer/fall. Any chance this would contrbute to not maintaining pressure? Should I just bypass it the same time I change the thermostat?

No water in the oil. No oil in the water. No other engine problems. Should I still question head gasket?

Never mind. Just did the thermostat. All better. Yeah!
