I just scored some doors for my sho from a slo. The slo doors have a chrome outer trim piece that is all black on the Sho. I forget if the chrome goes all the way around the wondow or not, but it definaltely runs along the bottom of it. How would I get it off?

And when you remove doors, how do you deal with the big mass of wires coming out of the body into the doors?

I would assume the chrome peices are glued in so maybe use a heat gun to remove them. As for the wires just take the door panel off and start disconnecting everything till they are all loose and ready to be pulled out. But make sure to mark everything you disconnect so its easy to reinstall.

So disconnect it all in the door and then pull all the wires out of the openning? Of course, on the J/Y car, I guess I can just cut the wires at the body

Yes the Junker does not matter as much. But for your SHO you will want to make sure they are all marked so your not playing the guessing game.

On GEN II (and i assume on all GENS) there is a single disconnect on the drivers door between the two hinge points. Just remove the top cap and use a socket and drive to undue the connector. As for the other doors all cables lead to individual disconnect's internal to the door.

He's correct. A single large connector for the driver's door (connector C209 in the EVTM). The passenger door has three separate connectors just inside the A-pillar, behind the kick-panel (C206, C215, C220). Both C206 and C215 are gray, 8-pin connectors, C220 is a gray 3-pin connector.

If you pull the protective rubber flex-tube at the A-pillar, you can fish the three connectors through the opening and properly disconnect them.
