Guys,

Heard on the news that there were some pretty strong storms in Az. I'm stuck in California at the moment, so don't know how bad they were, but they made the news here and a friend said that he lost most of the tiles on his roof.

Everyone ok?

Rav.

I'm over in Avondale, and oh my god it was great! Lightning everywhere you could look, bolts hitting the ground every 10 seconds all around. Then it started raining. We lost power for about 2 hours last night. Me and my friends ended up going for a cruise up into the mountains behind PIR during the middle of the storm. It was even better up there.

No damage here in Cave Creek but we watched the most beatiful lightning storm we've seen in years. Looks like it was mostly in the S/E valley and far westside. Weatherman said approximately 6,000 cloud-to-ground strikes were recorded in 5 -6 hours. Looked like constant lightning. Quite a SHOw.

Southeast valley got hit hard. Thunder and lightning all night and I think we ended up with over 2 inches of rain. Not bad for a 5 hour storm.

Well, I missed it. :frown:

I'm guessing my house survived but I'll find out when I get back. I like storms like that so I'm bummed that I missed it. Got a bit of thunder going on here, too, but we're expecting 105F on Saturday/Sunday.

And I came here to get out of the heat!

Southeastern Arizona Storms

We had everything here which included lots of lightning, rain with some flash floods, high winds and even a good hail storm that did some damage to vehicles. The Garage Queen was safe in the garage where it always is. I think I might have to start it and take it for a short drive when the monsoons are done next month. I might put twenty miles on it this time.
