Ok so after doing the rod bearings and the new oil pan gasket my car was still leaking some oil. So I would check the oil every week and it was good. I am out of town for 3 months and my dad drives the car now and says there is no leak now!!!

I know the engine must have been atleast a quart low but its not so can it be the transmission? Does the tranny use oil? He said the car is driving fine though so any help would be appreciated.

Oil leaks can look much, much, much larger than they actually are. unless you can actually see a thick stream gushing out, it'll go for a while without making a noticeable dent in the oil level. It's possible that the RTV needed some time to cure and make a full seal... who knows. Yes, the MTX uses fluid, but generally it either doesnt leak, or it all comes out at once (blown diff). I wouldn't necessarily worry about it. If the low oil (yellow) light comes on, or the car starts getting really hard to shift and acts weird, then I'd start checking stuff.
